Last weekend I played a show with Beekeeper at Chapel Arts. After soundcheck, we went to grab a bite at the Astoria, which I was dreadfully weary of. I've always been skeptical that their house beer is just bar-mat recyclings, and so how could I trust the food?
The food was excellent. I'm sure the burger patties were made right there. They definitely weren't the disc of frozen compressed meatstuff that I was expecting.
I regretted not choosing the mac & cheese though, so the following day...
It was this recipe from Cooking For Engineers, but also with BACON, MUSHROOMS, and BROCCOLI.
Delicious. But don't just take my word for it... the reviews were positive too.
